Music House (completed in 2005) is specifically meant for music studies – it has improved acoustically in order to achive the most suitable environment for music studies, it has the necessary space solutions and modern tehnology.
In the building are located classrooms for studies and rehearsal, administrative units, music studio and computer lab with the latest software.
The metalwork centre was created to help creative entrepreneurs to enhance their opportunities in the metalworking market. The working environment enables the entrepreneurs to work on various projects from small handicraft works to large-scale products and devices. Technical support is provided by a craftsman and a technologist.
Vilma house is located in the former bread factory few hundred meters away from the main building.
Partly renovated building was opened on 31 October 2014. In the building are located modern multimedia center, wood workshop, axle class, props workshop and auditoria. Here is also located textile chamber of Viljandi Creative Incubators Foundation.
Viljandi Culture Academy has offered creative and unique cultural education since 1952.The UT Viljandi Culture Academy offers graduate and undergraduate study programmes
in such fields as theatre and dance arts, Estonian native crafts (textile, metal, construction and inherited crafts), music, leisure-time manager-teacher, culture management and library and information sciences. Besides the theoretical knowledge our graduates obtain practical experience which enables them to have a steady position for entering labour market.
In the main building are located special classrooms – dance classes, multifunctional black box hall, IT-centre, centre of rapid prototyping, painting class, computer class, library and administrative units.
The dormitory is three floored building with double rooms with private toilet and shower for every room (for 2 persons). Kitchens with refrigerator, microwave oven, oven,water heater and a toaster are in general use.
The two-storey house accommodates 28 students. The rooms are meant for 1-3 persons and there are showers, toilets and a kitchen per floor. All kitchens have a refrigerator, microwave oven, oven, water heater and a toaster.
International students are usually staying at hostel “Oma Kodu”, the second student residence of Viljandi Culture Academy.
UT Viljandi Culture Academy Library is the subject library of University of Tartu Library. We provide unlimited access to information in a customer-centered environment primely for students, scholars and staff of UT Viljandi Culture Academy and for students, scholars and staff of University of Tartu. We also provide limited services for citizens of Viljandi County.
In addition to the books we have CDs and gramophone records, music videos, documentaries, educational films and etc. There is also computers, photocopier, stereo, TV and VCR for readers to use.
